Special Administration Extension

Following a review of the staff structure during stage two of the special administration, it was decided that the role of Executive Director was no longer required. Since there were no reasonable redeployment opportunities for Ms Kerry-Anne Gallagher who held this position, her employment was terminated due to redundancy. Ms Gallagher leaves with Waanyi NTAC’s well wishes for the future.

During stage two of the special administration, a detailed analysis of Waanyi NTAC’s financial systems and records was undertaken and a number of irregularities found. 

Waanyi RNTBC Executive Chairperson, Mr Alec Doomadgee was asked to respond to the irregularities found. Following a period of procedural fairness, Mr Doomadgee’s employment was terminated. Information obtained as a result of that analysis has also been referred to the Registrar of Indigenous Corporations and the Queensland Police Service.
